Presentazione del Diario di Guido Levi – ISTITUTO ITALIANO DI CULTURA A TOKYO – 26 gennaio 2024

In commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo presents ‘Guido Levi’s Diary.’ The book narrates the story of an 8-year-old boy who fled from Genoa to Switzerland in 1942, through pages filled with ‘fears and events almost yellow’.
I had the honor of creating the 12 canvas artworks that illustrate the diary.
The testimony of Guido’s daughter, Francesca Levi, the presentation by the project curator, Manuela De Leonardis, interventions by the Italian Ambassador in Tokyo, Gianluigi Benedetti, and the director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo, Silvana De Maio, along with the reading of the text in Japanese, complete the event.
