This project focuses on the chromatic and structural relationship between gestures, pigment and the sign line. The latter is embodied in a delicate figuration that shuns the mimesis of reality to become a symbol of a new reality with a clear metaphysical matrix. This atmosphere is emphasised by an underlying abstractionism, based on a rarefied colouring dictated by emotions and perceptions, which unties the composition from time and space, placing it in a sort of temporal suspension. Thus abstraction and figuration implement a fruitful dualism from which a new dimension emerges on canvas that goes beyond the phenomenal datum. Precisely for this reason, the objects and subjects depicted are stripped of their primary function to become essential pivots of existential reflections.
